Stoney Hill Arbutus

8" x 10" watercolour on 140# Arches cold-pressed paper -SOLD

Many of my paintings are inspired from local hikes I’ve taken with friends. Each time I hike into the Stoney Hill area, in the Cowichan Valley, I fall in love with the smooth, sensuous form of arbutus trees, which are common to the rocky bluffs and Douglas fir forests found there. It is such good news that Stoney Hill was recently designated as a North Cowichan municipal park.
