Into the Mystic

This painting is the result of a cancelled trip to the west coast of Vancouver Island. I currently live in the Cowichan Valley but lived in Ucluelet and worked in Pacific Rim National Park there for many years. I love to get back from time to time, to visit old friends and walk long sandy beaches. But without my recent visit, I painted this watercolour from my memory. Still, I will get back to the coast again, both to recharge my spirit and, if weather permits, to do some plein air painting.
