Caw-cophony

10 x 8 watercolour on 140# Arches hot-pressed paper

I never tire of watching crows and listening to their distinctive caw-cawing. Sometimes I get the sense they spend as much time watching me as I, them, and then debating their observations amongst themselves. Wherever they congregate, you’re sure to observe some intelligence among crows. Their vocalizations are boisterous appraisals of various beach delicacies and interesting tidbits of litter. However, their caw-cawing ‘conversations’ can become quite a racket, a cacophony or ‘caw-cophony’!
