If you’ve been fortunate to live near or regularly walk rugged, outer coast beaches you’ll know they change daily and, in winter, significantly. On a day’s outing, you may discover enormous logs flung up to great heights from a storm or extreme-high tide, and then find them entirely gone on the next day as the weather and waves have shifted them from their perch and back into the swirl of currents.
